Tour Packages with Justin Locke

If you are an Orchestra or Arts Festival thinking of doing one of Justin's internationally performed family concert programs, you can also fly Justin in to do related events. A few options:

Real Men Don't Rehearse: In this humorous presentation (perfect for after dinner / fund raising / VIP parties), Justin shares his favorite "gig disaster stories" from his days of playing bass in the Boston Pops. From his popular book of the same title.

Kids' Playwriting Workshops: In this highly improvisatory session, instead of just talking about how to write a play, Justin invites the audience to write, cast, produce, direct and stage their own play-- all in 45 minutes or less. This is typically done with 4th or 5th graders who are coming to see a school day performance of either Peter VS the Wolf or The Phantom of the Orchestra.

And of course Justin is always happy to help promote your events with media appearances.

Again, to discuss the many possibilties available to you, contact Justin at 781-330-8143, or email justinlocke1@gmail.com. See sample videos below.

Check out his Bio, his endless Blog, his recent appearance on CBS Radio, and the recent <"berlin.htm">Berlin Premiere of "Peter VS.the Wolf.

First, strictly for fun, a story from his Boston Pops memoir “Real Men Don’t Rehearse”: the classic tale of the night he got the Boston Pops bass section drunk by mistake:

"Justin Locke's book 'Real Men Don't Rehearse' paints a lively picture of what goes on behind the scenes at a major symphony orchestra. Anybody who thinks that all classical musicians are stuffy and lack a sense of humor will be set straight by this rambunctious book."
Peter Schickele ("curator" of "PDQ Bach")

To experience Justin's pragmatic and occasionally hilarious inside look at what it takes to be a true "artist," call us at 781-330-8143, or email justinlocke1@gmail.com.
